I grew up in the Chicago area will have great memories of Hackney's restaurant. A big juicy burger on pumpernickel bread. So far I have used the pumpernickel for sandwiches, but as soon as I get the grill going I am making a big juicy burger. Of the three breads I tried, this is definitely my favorite. Lots of that pumpernickel rye smell and flavor. Will have to try the suggestion to slice thin and use as chips. Maybe fried with some garlic salt.

Got a sample packet. Wasn't sure at first. Discovered great toasted with cheese. Then I discovered that sliced VERY thin and toasted in oven makes great crackers for cheese, spreads and dips. Looking forward to trying a Reuben with this bread

THIS BREAD IS AMAZING! The taste is unbelievably yummy! I just had my first pumpernickel in 1.5 years and with homemade pimento cheese! I'm in heaven for sure. Also, I was able to get 35 slices so their will be less carbs too. I will definitely be ordering this bread again!
